Hi all,

I just discovered GURPS Repository, while watching one of the GURPS 4e Game Aid for Foundry VTT videos. I will be contributing characters, items, and whatnot.

Is linking GURPS Character Sheet (GCS) … er… sheets to my contributions allowed? I think this would be useful for other GMs and players.

Also, I am concerned my online resources may change and links may be broken. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for responses.

Hmm… apparently, I can't post links until I raise my karma.

Gads! The Wikidot karma thing is a moving target that is recalculated every "few days." Unless there is another option, this post may be mote.

Do you think we could add a section of the website for making unique equipment? Everything from enchanted gear, exotic weapons, even loot dropped by some of the monsters on this site could be recorded there.

Hand weapons would of course have their Name, Damage, Reach, Parry, Cost (which would also be the item's sale value), Weight and Notes (such as how many hands it requires) listed on the sheet, but also the skill needed to use the weapon (along with any defaults for related skills) as well as any special properties it may have (follow up effects on hit for example).

Ranged weapons would have their Name, Damage, Acc, rage, RoF, Shots, ST, Bulk, RcL, LC, Cost, Weight and Notes as well as a skill, but would also have a cost and weight for the ammunition they use, if any. As well as a special properties section.

Armor and wearable equipment would have a location it goes on, a Damage Resistance, a cost, a weight and maybe other details such as the SM of creature it was made to be worn by (a dwarven helm would be SM-1) and of course any other properties it might have (a magic armor might have an Aura effect for example)

Shields would have a Damage Resistance, a Defense bonus and a notes section similar to armor, with a section for notes (a buckler for example does not take up the use of the hand its strapped to)

Consumables could have their cost, weight, method of use (like drinking for a potion, throwing at the ground for a smoke bomb etc) effects, and any skill rolls needed to identify or use the item (Alchemy might be needed to determine what a potion you found does for example) as well as uses (a magical item may have few charges before it becomes inert etc).

Pricing would be easy enough, you could base the value of a magical item off the "Buying Magic Items" on page 20 of GURPS Magic, use the retail prices for new inventions in the basic set for higher tech stuff, gadgeteering price guides for really high tech items and for really complex items you could always treat 1 character point as $1000 GURPS dollars when building something thats an equipment based version of an advantage like affliction or innate attack.

Anyone who is interested: let's update the indices, one book at a time. I've already done both Fantasy and Banestorm. It looks like someone has already done Space, Mysteries, and Monster Hunters 1. Basically, go through the Characters chapter in each book, and if a trait is mentioned, make a reference to it. Some books, like Social Engineering, are basically big references to existing traits, and it will help to go through the index of each one to see where there are discussions of certain traits.

When I deleted that last batch of spam last night, I noticed that the guy who added it had been deleted, so I thought that he wouldn't come back and re-spam it all. Silly me.

Thanks for cleaning up again, Jurgen.

Would it be possible/feasible to make a Traps template (see Dungeon Fantasy 2, page 19-20)? I've been fooling around with converting Grimtooth's Traps to GURPS and thought this would be a better place to post them than to the SJG Fora.

Should a page be created for settings that don't have a strong effort of conversion behind them? I added a monster from Glorantha (the Runequest setting) and will probably add a bit more Glorantha stuff, but at the moment I have no interest in pumping out a lot of conversion notes. Should I make a Glorantha page or are tags enough?
