Bite (10): 1d-2 large piercing damage. Once it has bit, the giant tick is considered to be grappling, and will suck out 1d-2 HT each second. Once it has sucked out 8 HT, it will let go. Reach C.

Traits: Discriminatory Smell; Extra Legs (Eight Legs; Cannot Kick); Horizontal; Night Vision 5; No Fine Manipulators; Wild Animal.
Skills: Brawling-10; Climbing-11; Wrestling-12.
Class: Giant Animal.
Combat Effectiveness Rating: 11 (OR 6 and PR 5).
Notes: Half of all giant ticks also bear a disease, typically the red ache. Resist HT+2 to keep from coming down with it. Red ache has a 1d/2 day delay. The victim takes 1d-1 ST damage. The cycle is 24 hours, and lasts until the victim makes two resistance rolls. The skin turns red and bloated, and feels warm to the touch. Not contagious.
